LHFT @ IEEE International Microwave Symposium 2023 in San Diego

The Institute of Microwaves and Photonics was strongly represented this year at one of the most important and largest conferences for microwave engineering. At the annual IEEE International Microwave Symposium (IMS), the latest research results and publications from the fields of field simulation, RF circuit technology, radar systems and radar signal processing are presented, among other things. Here, the chair was able to present itself very well at the IMS with four publications.

In addition to the opportunity to exchange research results, there is also a Student Design Competition at the IMS. Here, problems from the field of microwave technology are announced a few months in advance of the conference. The participants then have time to work out a solution and present it in a competition during the conference. The systems or components developed are then evaluated on the basis of predefined criteria and winners are determined. At the Student Design Competition, the LHFT also won three prizes – one 1st place and two 2nd places.
