Best Pitch Award for Melanie Lipka
Melanie Lipka and her co-authors Stefan Brückner, Erik Sippel, and Martin Vossiek of the Institute of Microwaves and Photonics won the Best Pitch Award on the European Radar Conference (EuRAD). In the publication “On the Needlessness of Signal Bandwidth for Precise Holographic Wireless Localization” and its corresponding poster, the authors have shown that – in contrast to the common opinion – precise wireless
localization is possible with narrow band localization systems by using novel holographic methods.
The EuRAD occurred in the context of the largest European microwave conference, the EUMW (12.-15. Januar 2021), virtual for the first time and is one of the leading radar conferences.
