Melanie Lipka and her co-authors Stefan Brückner, Erik Sippel and Martin Vossiek from the Chair of Radio Frequency Technology (LHFT) have won the Best Pitch Award at the 2020 European Radar Conference (EuRAD) during the European Microwave Week (EuMW) in Utrecht (Netherlands). In the paper “On the Needlessness of Signal Bandwidth for Precise Holographic Wireless Localization” and the accompanying poster, it was shown that precise radiolocation – contrary to what has often been assumed so far – is possible with novel holographic radiolocation techniques even at low signal bandwidth.
EuRAD was held virtually for the first time as part of the largest European microwave conference, EuMW (January 12-15, 2021), and is one of the world’s leading conferences in radar.
